Terms of Use
These are website terms only. They are not the terms of any building contract, which is a separate and far more significant document, and one a construction solicitor should draft. Nothing here has been checked by a solicitor.
These terms govern your use of stoneandfell.co.uk. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

Using the site
You may view, download and print pages for your own use in considering a building project. You may not use the site unlawfully, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce malicious code, or use automated systems to scrape it in a way that affects its operation.
Information on this site is indicative
This matters more than most of what follows, so we will put it plainly.
- Costs and budget ranges are indicative only. Every building is different. Nothing on this site is a quotation, an estimate or an offer, and no price is binding unless we have given it to you in writing for your specific project.
- Timescales are illustrative. Programmes shown against past projects describe those projects. Yours will differ.
- Planning outcomes cannot be guaranteed by anyone. We can describe our track record with applications, including in the Lake District National Park, but the decision rests with the local planning authority. Nothing on this site should be read as a promise that consent will be granted.
- Project descriptions and photography are provided to illustrate the kind of work we do, not to describe what will be done at your property.
The free consultation
We offer a first consultation and site visit free of charge and with no obligation on either side. It does not create a contract. Any view we give at that stage is a preliminary opinion based on a short visit, not a survey, a design or a costing. Work beyond that point, including design, is chargeable and will be agreed with you in writing before it starts.
Enquiries you send us
Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the enquiry form. Sending an enquiry does not create a contract or a professional relationship, and we may decline any enquiry. How we handle what you send is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual property
The content of this site, including text, photography, drawings, the Stone & Fell name and logo, and the design of the site itself, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce or republish it commercially without our written permission.
Links to other sites
Where we link out, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Availability
We try to keep the site available and accurate but do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or withdraw any part of it without notice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else which cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on information on this site, nor for indirect or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, business or anticipated savings. If you are making a decision that matters, ask us directly and we will give you something in writing that you can rely on.
These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here, with the date shown at the top.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
